Visit from Donovan and Dodd

HUD Secretary Donovan and Senator Dodd Visit NHS!

On Monday, April 13, 2009, HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan and Senator Chris Dodd visited the offices of Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven. The purpose of the visit was to see the impact of boarded-up, foreclosed properties on the NHS target neighborhoods and to meet with clients whose homes have been saved through the efforts of the New Haven HomeOwnership Center. Secretary Donovan and Senator Dodd also toured NHS' Home Improvement and Energy Conservation Laboratory, which is the new home of our post-purchase education and counseling programs. They were joined by NeighborWorks® America CEO Ken Wade, who also participated in the roundtable discussion with clients and attended the press conference.
