The services offered by NHS of New Haven can be divided into four distinct lines of business: Affordable Housing Development, Homebuyer Education and Counseling (the HomeOwnership Center), Housing Rehabilitation and Energy Conservation (the Home Improvement and Energy Conservation Laboratory), and Community Building and Organizing.  Each of these programs has been designed to help NHS achieve its goal of stabilizing and revitalizing New Haven’s residential neighborhoods while providing and preserving affordable homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income families.
