Neighborhood Revitalization Campaign

Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven has embarked on an innovative Neighborhood Revitalization Campaign: our latest effort to bring together our partners to implement new strategies in stabilizing New Haven’s neighborhoods. The Campaign is comprised of three initiatives: the creation of a Home Improvement and Energy Conservation Laboratory; the development of a Home Maintenance and Energy Conservation IDA Program; and the implementation of a Revitalization Demonstration Project. Taken together, these initiatives combine the best national models with local experience to bring the most effective neighborhood stabilization and revitalization strategies to New Haven. The $1,225,763 Campaign will allow NHS to mount its most ambitious effort yet to comprehensively revitalize New Haven’s neighborhoods.

Campaign Status

Implementing these new programs for the next three years will require us to raise a total of $1,225,763 above and beyond our regular annual operating funds. NHS has been awarded a Kresge Challenge Grant to support our fundraising efforts, and we have already raised 94.5% of our Campaign goal. Receiving Kresge’s challenge grant is contingent on our ability to raise the remaining funds, so please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to NHS’ Neighborhood Revitalization Campaign today. Your donation, at any level, supports our implementation of these groundbreaking initiatives that will make New Haven’s neighborhoods stronger, safer and more beautiful.
