Homebuyers Clubs

The Fairlawn Manor Homebuyers Club is a resident group comprised of the buyers of the 12 historic Homes at Fairlawn Manor. The group was formed prior to the total completion of the houses so that the families would develop a sense of community even before they become actual neighbors. The families look to each other for support and track one another's progress, getting to know and rely on each other in the process. The Club meets regularly for potluck style dinners usually in the most recently completed Fairlawn Manor house, which they and their guests get a chance to tour throughout the night. The impact of such events on creating a strong and interactive community of neighbors cannot be overstated.

By working closely to develop a sense of responsibility and accountability among the Fairlawn Manor homebuyers, NHS aspires to establish a cohesiveness of residents, developing a standard that can be replicated in other neighborhoods throughout New Haven.
